EXON
A downloadable EXON for Windows
EXON is a 2D pixel art game. Your goal is to save your ship from a parasitic alien invasion that will attempt to reproduce with the human host.
The game is still in development; any contributions will help me improve the quality of the game and include future updates/projects.
This is my very first video game made with "GDevelop 5," so I'm not an expert, but I put in the passion.
Work on the game began on February 10, 2025.
⚠️ Known Issue (Alien Tank Boss): In this v0.0.9 build, the Alien Tank is invulnerable to damage. The goal is currently to survive and escape the encounter. Full combat mechanics will be implemented in v0.1!
GAME CONTROLS
- To attack, press the "A" key
- To kick, press the "S" key
- To turn the physical flashlight on or off, press the "T" key
- To shoot, press the "A" key (only if the pistol is equipped)
- To jump, press the "Space Bar" key
- To move, use the arrow keys: "←↑→"

Install instructions
Download and Unzip the Game
- Download: Click the download link you received to get the game's ZIP file (e.g.,
EXON v0.0.9.zip). - Unzip/Extract: Locate the downloaded ZIP file. You must extract (unzip) the contents before launching.
- Windows: Right-click the ZIP file and select "Extract All..." (or use your favorite unzipping program like 7-Zip or WinRAR).
- macOS: Simply double-click the ZIP file.
- Move the Folder: Move the newly extracted folder (e.g.,
EXON v0.0.9.zip) to a convenient location on your computer, such as your Desktop or your 'Games' folder.

Hi everyone, I have some difficult news to share. Lately, I’ve been reflecting a lot on EXON, and I’ve realized I can't give it the attention it deserves. Having to constantly restart from a distant point is becoming destabilizing, and I’m finding it impossible to move forward. This project is very ambitious, and right now, it has become too burdensome and demanding to handle alone.
For these reasons, I’ve decided to put EXON on hold. When I have the time and the right mindset, I plan to work on a new, simpler game first. I need to start with something more manageable to build the necessary funds and experience to one day create a large-scale project properly. Thank you for staying with me.

The game has a very good premise and also looks really good,It would be good if you had a Patreon so people could support you.

I can't tell you anything exactly.. but I'm working on improving it.
How do you play it on Linux? .exe files aren't Linux friendly and I don't see anything else that looks like a startup in that zip I just downloaded
I apologize for the unclear information. This is my first game development. I thought the ".exe" file would be compatible with Linux.
In any case, try using "Wine." It would be a kind of software that supports ".exe" files.
Love the concept, couple of notes.
If you can make a sprint button that would be great as right now, you can't save or have a gallery its a pain to do everything again at walking speed.
Next the boss will glitch and double grab you causing the animation to not display nad your just stuck in limbo.
Next the boss can't be killed shoots just go right through her.
for now that's is all and I want more lol.

I'm working on "EXON v0.1." Before I get started in earnest, I'd like my game to be recognized on multiple platforms and gain more followers.
The following features will be added:
- Dodge or dash mechanics (I need to determine which mechanics are best suited to my project).
- New enemies.
- A save/load system.
- New level design.
- Traps.
- New weapons.
- A sort of environmental puzzle.
- Choices (with consequences).
It will take some time to create all of this, so don't expect a quick update.
